Manpower is looking for an experienced Torch Cutter around the Danville, IL area.
Information about the position:
· Position: Torch Cutter
· # of Openings: 1
· Position Type: Temp to hire
· Pay: $16.00
· Days: Monday – Friday, OT on Saturdays.
· Shift: First shift
· Overtime: If/when needed
Qualifications for position:
· Experience using propane with oxygen.
· Understanding of measuring techniques/devices.
· Works with limited supervision while managing time to complete tasks on schedule and meet monthly quotas.
· Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
· Able to work in extreme temperatures.
· Able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crawl, speak, hear, lift 25 lbs alone.
Job Duties:
· Use propane with oxygen to torch/cut steel or other metals.
· Measure and mark steel.
· Cut steel into sections with a cutting torch.
· Performs other miscellaneous duties as directed by Department Lead Person
