Manpower is looking for Heavy Equipment Operator in the Urbana, IL area.
Information about the position:
- Position: Heavy Equipment Operator
- Location: Urbana, IL
- # of Openings: 1
- Position Type: Temp
- Pay: $17.00/hour
- Days: Monday – Friday, OT on weekends if needed
- Shift: 1st shift 7:30am – 4:00pm
- Overtime: If/when needed
Qualifications for position:
- Needs valid Driver’s License
- Ability to maintain focus and concentration for a minimum 8-hour shift and be able to communicate effectively with others.
- Minimum of 1-year prior experience in similar position.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crawl, speak, hear, lift 50 lbs. alone.
- Have own tools to complete assigned tasks.
- Above the Ankle Steel Toed Work Boots
- Need to Train in Danville
Job Duties:
- Operate Heavy Equipment-including bobcats, backhoes, skid steer, tractors, etc.
- Ability to work safely alone in highly congested areas.
- The agility and flexibility to climb on the various machine areas.
- Test equipment to check operation.
- Recognize the machine’s limitations to work safely in a large variety of job situations.
- Operate the machine’s controls to perform the designated task within the machine’s capabilities.
