Job Description
• Will potentially travel and can be away from home for days at a time.
• Will utilize a variety of work equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, chemical cleaning solutions, ladders, drop cloths, sponges, buckets, mops, and brushes.
• Cleans carpet, upholstery, floors, walls, ceilings, draperies, windows, and room accessories to remove effects of smoke and water damage (e.g., dirt, soot, stains, mildew, and excess water and moisture).
• Will use additional cleaning tools such as toothbrushes, q-tips, rags, etc.
• Removing standing water using extraction equipment like pumps and vacuums.
• Setting up drying equipment like dehumidifiers and air movers to prevent further damage.
• Removing and drying affected materials like carpets and flooring.
• Removing charred materials and cleaning soot and smoke residue from surfaces.
• Verifies moisture presence and removal with moisture sensor. Sprays or fogs carpet, upholstery, and accessories with fabric conditioners and protectors, deodorizers, and disinfectants, using hand and power sprayers and electric foggers.
• Identifying, containing and removing mold-affected materials.
• Cleaning and sanitizing affected areas to prevent re-growth.
• Explaining the restoration process to clients.
• Answering questions and addressing concerns.
• Inspects completed restoration to ensure conformance to standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
• Must possess a driver’s license to drive the company vehicle.
• Ability to wear a respirator.
• Ability to work with cleaning solutions and chemicals.
• Physical ability to lift up to 75lbs unassisted and work in challenging conditions.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to come to work promptly and regularly.
• Ability to take direction and work well with others.
• Ability to react to change productively and to handle other tasks as assigned.
