Welders
Our client in Lacon, IL is looking for hard working individuals for 1st shift hours.

What will you be doing?
Welders use hand welding equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.
Duties and responsibilities
•Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
•Monitor quality to assure consistent and acceptable welds
•Understand the number of pieces that need to be welded per hour, required welded pieces per job, and be able to achieve those goals
•Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.
•Recognize and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade
•Keep the assigned work station swept and cleaned as necessary, keep clutter and trip hazards out of work areas
•Use PPE, per training, as required for the specific task being performed
•Other jobs and/or duties as directed
Qualifications
•Education/Experience
oProduction and Processing – Knowledge of MIG welding processes
oMechanical – Knowledge of welding equipment, uses, repair, and maintenance.
oDesign – knowledge of blueprint designs and technical r hand and arm steady while moving or holding a position
MUST HAVE WELDING EXPERIENCE:
CANDIDATES THAT ARE SELECTED FOR A WELD TEST INTERVIEW NEED TO BE DRESSED AND READY TO TAKE THE WELD TEST. JEANS, TSHIRT AND STEEL TOED BOOTS ARE ACCEPTABLE WHEN INTERVIEWING AND DOING A TEST AND BRING ALL THEIR WELDING GEAR WITH THEM TO TAKE THE WELD TESTS.
