1^st shift -tentatively M-F, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm but could do after hour consultations as needed

Job Description

The Occupational Health Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive health services to employees within an industrial or manufacturing setting. This role includes delivering medical care, conducting health assessments, managing workplace health programs, and ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations. This role’s primary responsibility is to provide onsite support to the Decatur plant location, but it may also extend its support to the Decatur Administrative location.

Required Skills

Valid nursing license and registration in the relevant authority.

Degree in nursing or a related field.

Certification in occupational health nursing or a related specialty. COHN certification preferred; or willingness to achieve COHN certification within mutually acceptable time.
Three to five years’ floor nursing experience required; occupational nursing experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Knowledge of industrial hygiene, ergonomics, and hazardous materials.
Familiarity with workers’ compensation laws and regulations.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Strong understanding of medical ethics and privacy laws.
Proficiency in basic computer skills and use of relevant software applications (i.e., Word, Excel, SAP a plus)
Continuous professional development and ongoing education in the field of occupational health and safety.
