Electrician
Our client in Lacon, IL is looking for an electrician for first shift hours
What’s in it for you?
• First shift 5:00 am – 3:30 pm (10-hour days)
• Monday- Thursday
• $17-$30 per hour DOE
What will you be doing?
• Prepare work to be accomplished by studying prints and work instructions and gathering.
• Parts, tools, and materials
• Assemble, install, and test electrical wiring and equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tolls and power tools.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, generators, or other components.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for repair and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Identify potential improvements and communicate to Production Leads.
• Work directly with Production Lead Production Supervisor, and Engineers to solve project-specific issues.
• Maintain departmental documentation as needed.
Required Experience:
• EMT/Rigid conduit bending.
• Ability to read schematics.
• Conduit routing experience
• Experience with Both AC & DC circuits
• Cable routing
• Medium voltage experience
• High amperage experience
• Industrial electrical experience
• NEC Code requirements
• Generator packaging experience a plus
You will also need to be able to:
• Lift up to 49 pounds
• Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
• Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around
• Go up and down stairs (where applicable)
